Traim in Romania…

30 December 2009 ·

“Traim in Romania. Avem o tara minunata, nu-i asa? STOP indiferentei! An nou fericit!

Nu incepeti o reforma adevarata in partid?!

am zis eu ca trebuie sa fac cunoscut mesajul ei! 🙂

    @catalin
Dovada suntem noi, parlamentarii foarte tineri! Este de vazut daca vom rezista!

Re: Romania a ajuns la fundul sacului

    Dear Cristina:

I’m very impressed that such a young and dynamic lady is in a position, in the Romanian Parliament, to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many Romanian citizens! Please forgive me if I took at liberty to write you in English. I was born in Romania. I’m one of those millions of “baby-boomers” now inching to the retirement line. I am a U.S. Citizen,
and have visited Romania in recent years and immediately after 1990. I’m a Law Consultant & Researcher for over two decades, working with super-lawyers here in my State (WA). I have noted painfully, since 1990, that most of the poor Romanian families pay about $7.00/gallon of gasoline–for almost 20 years! Your countrymen have not had a break on this important social issue! I also noted that “oil monopolies” are one of the causes and effect inflicting such a terrible financial hardship on Romanian drivers of automoiles and trucks! I always wondered WHY NO ONE IN PARLIAMENT is addressing this terrible issue of “oil monopoly”????
Moreover, I could not find any serious federal regulatory mechanism which deals with “oil monopoly” practices of those German and Austriac “oil moguls” who are oppressing the Romanians for two decades! Of course, there are other similar important issues which you ought to consider (if not prompted by the suffering of many!); but, in this writing–concerning your own statement that “Romania a ajuns la fundul sacului”–I want to ask you to SERIOUSLY CONSIDER the “oil monopoly” issue and do something about it for your fellow Romanians! In USA, we have “anti-monopoly” laws (see, United States Code, Title 15, Sections 1-25). In the foregoing sections there federal laws which prohibit “oppressive practices” and “price fixing” in the business of “oil giants” with the U.S. Public consumer! I always wondered if the Romanian Parliament has even passed legislation to “regulate” those “oil monopolies” who are oppressing the Romanians??? And, as a final note, I want to ask of you to SERIOUSLY CONSIDER this vital social and economic issue in your daily activity in Parliament. If you and your colleagues can legislate fair, just and equitable “regulations” which will stop two decades of oppression in this (oil) business field, then, you would have achieved a very powerful social justice in Romania. The next one would be to legislate “price regulations” to other “consumer related” goods and services. This topic, next time. For now, I would like to hear (or read) what you have to say to the foregoing issue?
Thank you, and God bless you!
    Anthony.
